Bespoke, a source book of furniture designer makers by Betty Norbury, is a new book to be published this summer by Stobart Davies. It shows the work of one hundred and forty nine designers and makers of contemporary furniture and features on the front cover a chair designed by David Savage and made for him by assistant craftsman Nick Chandler. It is an important publication for it shows the variety and strength of the work being done at this moment by British Studio Furniture Makers. It is perhaps to our credit that of those one hundred and forty nine makers in the book thirteen either trained or worked with David Savage here at Rowden Studios or at our previous workshops at Westcombe. Congratulations to Nick Chandler, Robert Eaves, Tim Hodgkinson, Jonathan Kiff, Marcus Mindelsohn, James Morley, Christian O Reilly, Terry Sawle, David Tragen, Mark Turpin, Deryck Gilham, James Harvey, and Bruce Burman.
