Sign up for a Furniture Making Short Course
Have you ever had an interest in woodwork? Perhaps you have a home workshop but are after some guidance from the experts? Or maybe you are thinking of a career change and furniture making has crossed your mind? Well, this could be the place for you.
Here at the Rowden Atelier, we run a number of one-week furniture making short courses throughout the year. Examples of the courses available include Tool Sharpening, Box Making and Chair Making. These courses are designed to either be stand alone, or to provide an introduction to those considering joining us for the longer one-year course.
The classes are small and designed to fit around your level of ability – basic, intermediate or advanced. You will also get the chance to meet and chat with the students taking our longer Designer Maker course. And we provide all the tools and materials so all you need to do it show up and have some fun.
The Rowden community is integral to what we do here and being able to mix with other like-minded individuals, even if only for a week, is often a source of inspiration for those who experience it.

Setting the Scene
In addition to all of this, you will have the opportunity to spend a week in the beautiful North Devon countryside. With its stunning landscapes and beautiful coastal walks, this certainly serves as a great inspiration to us as cabinetmakers and designers. And what better place to begin your woodworking journey?
These courses are very popular and do get booked up in advance so be sure to get in touch and see what’s available. You can find out more information about our short courses here.
Until next time,
