Zebrano and Ash Sample Box

We have recently seen a very nice box in Zebrano and Ash made in our workshops. This has been the work of Rob Eaves a student here for the past five months. Robs box has been made as a timber sample box so he will use it to show samples to prospective clients so it has to be well made as it may be the first thing they see of his workmanship. Rob has combined two timbers the Ash for the end panels and top of the box and the Zebrano for the sides, these are well chosen as the colour of the Ash is picking out a lighter tone of the Zebrano so the harmony is maintained. They are joined by dovetails that emphasise the tapering sides of the box. If you would like to commission a similar piece from Rob allow a budget of 1000 pounds sterling. Or be bold and commission a new piece, Rob Eaves is a talented young man and his work will get much more expensive in another few years. Now is the time to buy a piece from him. Whilst giving patronage to a young designer maker you will also be getting a good deal for yourself. Contact Rob on
