Marketing, all that stuff that takes what you do inside the workshop and tells the world about it, this is marketing that I am doing right now. It’s the stuff that communicates your values inherent in what you do. It’s all very well telling people you make wizard furniture , so what ,its much more powerful to tell WHY you make wizard furniture. So I blather on about corporate I D, graphic designers,using images well in an age of digital photography, printing for marketing material if appropriate, P R oh yes thats a good one, web marketing, that too, galleries,sale or return, exhibitions, and most important attended exhibitions. All this will not help you make better furniture but it will help to feed you and yours so you will have the strength to be able to make better furniture.
