Rob Davies is one of the exceptional group of students that have just completed their year with us. He came to us after a background at art college so he was always going to do interesting furniture.
This piece was part of a series where Rob had been playing creatively with the combination of strong colour provided by Formica sheet material, and the contrast of this with the figured surface of American walnut. I love this exploration of what is a new way of looking at timber.
