Bi Bi Si

This is Simon Smith, Si as we know him is leaving us after nearly two years as both a student then as a maker for me. He has landed a good job at one of the top workshops in the country that will enable him to be able to move forward and get back living with his partner. I am going to miss him, almost as if someone has cut one of my hands off. For that is essentially what Si has been doing for me, acting as my hands and eyes, making my furniture. Yet its much more than that, Si is making exceptionally high quality work and to achieve that it is necessary to give a deal of yourself. Si has never for a moment in the whole time he has been here ceased to amaze me at the quality of his personality and the skill and intelligence he is able to put into a piece of work, mostly my work. Si Smith is one of the best Furnituremakers I know Thank you Si.
