Age is just a number

Age is just a number

There is no wrong time to become a cabinetmaker. Here at Rowden, we see students of all ages all successfully complete the courses they attend. It seems to us that if the desire is there, then there is nothing to hold you back. Rowden is invariably filled with students from a wide range of age groups, nationalities and backgrounds. It all adds to the mix.

Of course, the ultimate objectives of a teenager may well be quite different to those of a recent retiree. At the risk of generalising, the older you get, the less likely you are to be happy with having a boss telling you what to do! But what our students all have in common is an overwhelming desire to become expert cabinetmakers with the skills necessary to fulfil their creative potential. And that is where we come in. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a student flourish in the workshop and then set off to begin their own journey, whether that be setting up a workshop of their own or simply working at their bench in the garage at home.

Experience has shown us that age is irrelevant. All that is needed is enthusiasm, a can-do attitude – and excellent tea-making skills!

Until next time,

Lakshmi
