This ebony dining table was commissioned by a client who wanted a table that “looks like a million dollars”.
Made in Macassar Ebony, the table is circular and was intended to have a display of flowers on it. To complement this, we radiated the leaves of the ebony veneer from the centre. This sunburst pattern needs skill and unwavering focus to match all veneers to a pinpoint centre. This is technically very difficult but we do ‘technically difficult’ frequently.
Edged in silver, its shine juxtaposing with the dark ebony this originally took over 4 months to complete.
