This table made by master craftsman at Rowden Atelier, Daren Millman. Daren is a maker who is highly skilled in working with burr walnut veneers. The flowers inset in the table were cut using a traditional marquetry donkey and had to be perfect – without any allowance for error whatsoever. The same is true of the french polished finish on this table. French polishing is a finish that can only be mastered with experience – it must be felt in the hands of the maker, to know the difference between good and bad in the resulting finished surface.
