Teaching Veneering at Woodworking School

This is what we call a “Dimblebie” it’s a short period of group tuition usually during the morning tea or coffee break so you don’t miss essential bench time. Here Daren Millman is starting on a series of “Dimblebies” on the subject of Veneering. With a big subject like this we take the view that “to eat an elephant it’s necessary to eat it in small bites” so it may take a couple of weeks of mid morning talks and demonstrations to cover this subject.
Daren is a true expert on veneering and I still learn new things from him every time I see this series and I have been round this block a few times now, lots of the information is resulting from the fact that Daren has spent years where he has had to lay veneers fast and accurately in a commercial situation, much of what he can teach is not seen in any text books. Recently we looked at one another after one of these sessions and I said “sometimes I wonder if they realise that what you just told them is gold dust……………………..”
