short course student Ludovic Levieil

A fantastic mail from a former short woodworking course student of Rowden Atelier came through recently.

yar tis:

Hello David,

I am Ludovic Levieil a French guy from Nice that visited the Rowden farm in August 2011 for the Basic one week short woodworking course.
Although too short, this short woodworking course was fantastic and the experience is deeply printed in me.

Since then I installed myself a little workshop business, finished my first creation piece last week and wish to make many many more !
I’d like to share it with you and may you take it as a Warm Thank You.
This piece is simple but was made for a life “special” situation. It has a story to tell and has her own life now.
It is made of walnut and maple and is finished with shellac.
In every stage of the process, I’ve tried to be in the spirit of the Rowden farm, wondered myself “Is this to the level of the workshop ?”, “How would they do that?” and so on.
In a way you’ve been in the background supporting me and this is were I want to Thank You, you specially but also Daren, Steve & Duncan.
Hope you’ll appreciate.

Kind Regards
Ciao
Ludovic
