Another lovely chair…

Dave Young, or Kiwi Dave as we knew him whilst he was here, completed his course here earlier this year and has since gone on to set up a new workshop in East Devon with Ross Norgate, also a former student. Whilst here was here Dave developed an idea for a simple but beautiful solid wood chair.

Dave Young's chair

This one is made in English oak with a laminated and shaped crest rail and is one of the most attractive chairs I’ve seen a student make in a very long time, and is designed to be easy to make and reproduce in quantity. Well done Dave.
